About Giant Frilled Neck Lizard

Giant Frilled Neck Lizard – Australian Reptile Park Entry Statement

The Giant Frilled Neck Lizard sculpture was made for the Australian Reptile Park. To ensure longevity, the piece was constructed with a 10mm mild steel bar substructure. We then added wire netting overlay and glass-reinforced cement to consolidate the strength of the armature and receive the textured finish coat.

Did you know… frilled neck lizards are found in tropical woodlands in northern and eastern Australia and New Guinea. They are well camouflaged and eat insects by perching on low tree trunks to ambush passing prey.
