Oversized honey bee – Playground installation

This beautifully designed honey bee is one to be excited about.

Its body is cast from a mould in glass fibre reinforced concrete (GFRC) with a 16mm reinforcing bar steel armature and 16mm reinforcing bar steel legs. Legs filled out and shaped with wire mesh and coated in GFRC. 16mm reinforcing bar steel dowel will protrude approximately 100mm below the body and legs to be chem set into the footing or slab (by others).

Clear coat finish or a heavy duty gel coat finish is recommended for all products that will be used outside, to protect the finish. See product care guide
