These animals grew to over 2 metres long, weighed over 200kg and lived on land. Unlike modern turtles or tortoises, they could not have retracted their heads into their shell due to their horns.
This full 3-dimensional realistic sculpture of the giant horned turtle is for anyone interested in prehistoric animals, natural history or wildlife sculpture. The unusual statue is part of Natureworks’ impressive megafauna collection. The sculpture has the potential to be a stunning centrepiece and talking point in museums, galleries, educational displays and private collections.
