Natureworks presents a pair of adorable cassowary chicks, a unique representation of the infant stage of this magnificent rainforest bird. These life-sized chicks have sleek striped plumage and endearing facial expressions. However, if you can’t bear to see them parted from their parents, you may prefer the cassowary set!
Interestingly, even from a young age, cassowaries contribute to the survival of countless plant species, earning them the moniker “gardeners of the rainforest”. This is due to their ability to disperse seeds over vast distances.
Unfortunately, cassowary species are under threat due to the clearing of forests for agricultural and development activities, so it is imperative to save the cassowary. To support conservation efforts, Natureworks supplied statues of cassowaries for the Cassowary Art Trail in Kuranda and other towns in Far North Queensland.
