Natureworks has designed and crafted numerous one-of-a-kind pieces that are displayed throughout Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, showcasing the beauty and diversity of the natural world.
From intricate animal sculptures to awe-inspiring landscapes and dramatic entry statements, our work leaves a lasting impression!
Animal sculptures, landscape elements, artificial trees & rockwork
As you explore the sanctuary, you will see many lifelike sculptures of animals by Natureworks (as well as real wildlife, of course!). You’ll discover realistic statues of mammals, reptiles, birds, and other wildlife, artfully blending with their surroundings. Younger visitors, in particular, may notice the friendly, climbable sculptures in play areas and the prehistoric creatures in the ‘Extinction Trail’.
What you may not know is that Natureworks also created many of the detailed landscape elements that surround these works of art. When you explore, look for replicas of environmental features such as caves, rocks, tunnels, logs and tree stumps. These are not just decorative elements – they provide shelter, play spaces, photography focal points and wildlife habitats.

Journey to the past on Currumbin's 'Extinction Trail'
In 2021, Natureworks provided a range of sculptures of dinosaurs and prehistoric megafauna for the new Extinction Trail at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary.
Our life-sized replicas bring the Mesozoic Era to life so visitors can learn about these giant prehistoric creatures. They’ll see how the Earth has changed since the mass extinction wiped out many of the Earth’s plant and animal species millions of years ago.
"Travel back to a time when dinosaurs and megafauna ruled the earth and explore life on our planet long before the evolution of humans!"
