One of the world’s largest snakes!

Natureworks’ amethystine python is a museum-standard replica of one of the world’s largest snakes. The amethystine python species can grow up to 5.5 metres long and is found throughout Papua New Guinea and Indonesia.

Australia’s largest snake – the Australian Scrub Python – was considered a subspecies of the Amethystine python but was later reclassified as a separate species (Simalia kinghorni – see research). The snakes are quite similar so this sculpture can represent either species!

This life-sized replica is based on a medium-sized python specimen (2.53 metres long). It makes for an impressive display in a wildlife park, café, tourist attraction, nature-related business, museum or educational exhibit.

Natureworks’ Amethystine Python sculpture is a museum-standard replica of one of the world’s largest snakes. Reaching up to 5.5 metres in length and weighing up to 30kg, this python species is found throughout Papua New Guinea and Indonesia. It is similar to the Australian Scrub Python, the longest and largest snake in Australia.

This life-sized Amethystine python sculpture (2.53m long) was cast from a dead specimen that measured approximately 12ft in length.

The fibreglass reproduction looks great on the ground, as wall décor, or mounted on a vertical post for dramatic impact. The beautiful realistic hand-painted detailed finish makes it an impressive snake sculpture for display in a wildlife art gallery or café.
