There are a large variety of Gargoyles that depict animals such as lions’ heads, dogs, snakes, alligators, goats, donkeys, cows, pigs – all that which also have elements of human and monster like qualities.

These creatures were usually carved out of stone and used as ornamental waterspouts/drains to help direct water from a roof and away from the side of a building and were an important architectural feature to help the preservation of a building.
