Remembering the Genius of Leonardo da Vinci with a Bust
Curiosity and two paintings catapulted Leonardo da Vinci’s status into genius. Aside from being a painter, he was an inventor, architect, and a lover of science. He also believes that art cannot be isolated from science. As for his art, people would often be mesmerized by one particular smile and this excludes a loved one but focuses on the mysterious Mona Lisa. The other memorable painting illustrates that moment when Jesus Christ uttered to his disciples, “One of you shall betray me.” In both works, the time invested by da Vinci studying human reaction and interaction is evidently incredible. Certainly, viewers have pondered over the seemingly upturned smile of Mona Lisa or perhaps scrutinized every facial reaction or gesture of the apostles in the Last Supper.
Da Vinci also sketched plenty of inventions despite having no formal education. Among his illustrations included the bicycle, an airplane, and a helicopter. This bust of his image in roman stone finishes serves to remember his well-rounded genius and to inspire the viewer about how curiosity can make life more interesting. The da Vinci bust would be an outstanding addition to museums, theatres as da Vinci himself greatly contributed to theatre production with his inventions, and to educational institutions.
