Natureworks has manufactured an exclusive range of durable concrete stepping stone pavers etched with finely detailed native Australian animals. –

NOTE: that all sizes may vary and are approximately 40cm wide and 5cm deep/high.

Each paver has been meticulously designed, incorporating an image of an Australian animal in bas-relief. These can be easily inserted into public and private walkways to help provide an educated insight into local wildlife.

These symbolic pavers provide a connection with nature as they create an interest in our local wildlife by providing the stimuli to encourage discussions around how we all have the important role of protecting and restoring the natural environment so current and future generations can enjoy the natural world which is so easily forgotten.

Product Description

These Australian wildlife stepping stones can be manufactured in concrete or cast in glass fibre reinforced concrete.  They are approximately 50mm deep and 300mm in diameter with steel reinforcing and rear connection fixings lugs which enable them to be permanently located either into a concrete or grass parkland situation.

The plaque animal designs are etched with Australian Fauna in a shallow bas relief finish, ideally suited to be used as pavers, feature plaques, or Location markers which can be installed into the ground level or vertically on a wall or as a rock insert.

They can also be finished in a cost-effective bronze coating which is indistinguishable from hot-cast bronze at a fraction of the hot-cast cost.

Relevance

They tell a story of the local bushland creatures many of which are not seen by the average bushwalker, whilst also providing stimuli to develop knowledge around Australian landscapes and the intricate balance of wildlife within these habitats.

The selection of items can also further highlight extinct or endangered or introduced populations of feral animals.

The animal stepping plaques have been widely used in parks, childcare centres, playgrounds and schools. They add an immersive experience to a family or school excursion and connect people to the natural world in a fun and engaging way.

Signage Board – Legend

By utilising a signage board at the beginning of the walk or within the park precinct, a more extensive description of each animal can be presented to provide a deeper level of understanding for each sculpture and the animal’s habitat and characteristics.

Installation

They can be set just below ground level, to avoid damage by lawn mowers or raised on a stone finished concrete pedestal so as to present at a 45⁰ angle.
