Artificial Rocks – Fabrication and Construction

These rocks were custom manufactured for playground use at the Golden Beach Tavern in Caloundra, Sunshine Coast, Queensland. They have been manufactured with internal steel armatures, custom designed with various inlays of fossils and animals with a natural rock finish. We also custom designed and built the rock climbing wall and the fossil dig to give the playground a complete makeover.

Pre-fabricated rock units can be created in various sizes and durability depending on the project requirement.

Pre-fabricated GFRC Rockwork – for the most durable artificial rock, Natureworks uses Glass Fibre Reinforced Cement (GFRC). This produces a robust and resilient material and look and feel like real rock. The material can be hand-carved to replicate the attributes of a natural rock face. If a precast fibreglass rock is produced is allows various rock finishes and detail to be added to each project.

Additional Extras

Clear coat finish or a heavy duty gel coat finish is recommended for all products that will be used outside, to protect the finish. See product care guide
Mounting plates, hooks or other fixings can be requested when you ask for a quote.
Custom colours are available on most products.
If you plan to use the product in a child’s play area or a public space, please mention that when requesting a quote.
If you need to be able to dismantle or move it easily, let us know that too!

Delivery costs depend on location, packaging requirements, and quantity/type of items ordered. Items can be picked up from our office, or you can arrange your own freight.
