Fibreglass Spanish Bull in Bronze

While some think of bullfighting as a sport and others protest over its treatment of the animal, in some parts of Spain they think of bullfighting as a choreographed dance like ballet. The bull is symbolic of strength and aggression which is characteristic of its muscular build compared to cows. Many matadors have become famous for engaging in bullfighting. The activity itself tests the strength of the bull and the skill of the matador hence the spectacle over it.

This life-size fibreglass sculpture has been crafted as a tribute to the bull and all that it stands for. The classic bronze hue is appropriate to immortalize the bull and to highlight its brawn, mighty horns, and austere stare. It would find meaning in a minimalist space of white or earth tones like a garden backdrop as it is weather-resistant. Like the animal for its power, this sculpture is durable but is reflective of the culture and history it has been a part of.
