Life-size Spanish Bull in Black
The life-size fiberglass Spanish fighting bull sculpture shows a unique breed of bovine renowned for its exceptional bravery and beauty. A strong image of culture and art in Spain, the Spanish bull is a great icon to begin a conversation considering its intimidating size, appearance, and use throughout history. Bullfights were present in ancient Rome but it was largely developed in the Iberian Peninsula, more so in Spain where it’s certain elements were formed.
Characteristics
In reality, the bull has more muscle and larger bones than its female counterpart, the cow. It survives castration and if developed or found to be more aggressive, it becomes the object of spectacle in a thunderous arena where people observe its demeanour as it charges from its toril or bullpen. Like this sculpture, the brave cattle’s horns curve outwards and it has a prominent neck packed by muscles. This particular Spanish bull reveals its gait with its front leg slightly raised, its facial features, body texture and colour captured down to the details, appearing more life-like as can be.
