What is a Yowie? – Are they real?

In simple terms, a Yowie is a mythical creature or cryptid often described as a large, ape-like or humanoid creature that is said to inhabit remote wilderness areas, primarily in Australia. It’s similar to the concept of Bigfoot or Sasquatch in North American folklore. People claim to have seen Yowie’s, but there is no scientific evidence to support their existence, so they are considered a legend or folklore rather than a confirmed reality.

Description & Characteristics

The Yowie is typically described as a large, ape-like creature, standing anywhere from 6 to 12 feet tall, covered in hair, and with a strong, unpleasant odor. Witnesses often describe it as having a human-like face, long arms, and large feet.
