Did you know?

The Giant Dugong is 22m long, 5m, high and 12m wide and has been made by Natureworks team of sculptors, carpenters, builders. It is made from a combination of fibreglass and concrete over a steel frame. You can see photos of the building of this magnificent unique sea life creature.

The coastal indigenous tribes regarded the dugong with a very high economic and social value as it provided a rare and nutritious source of meat. Throughout times in history, the dugong has been a popular mythological animal. We agree that is a beautifully unique creature of the seas and resembles a walrus, whale, but its closest relative is the elephant.
