Tigers are the largest cat species (although the lion is usually called the king of the jungle). Our lifelike sculptures of tigers include full-size Bengal tigers and cute tiger cubs. We also have statues of extinct tigers like the Tasmanian Thycaline and prehistoric Sabretooth.
Did you know… There are only 5,574 tigers in the wild (Global Tiger Forum, 2023), but conservation can help increase their numbers. Many tigers are held in captivity around the world, with over 5,000 in China and a similar number in the USA (see animal captivity statistics from WAF). By saving tigers we help to protect the environment and other species – read about why tigers matter.

We acknowledge the First Peoples – the traditional owners of the lands where we live and work, and we recognise their continuing connection to land, water and community. We pay respect to elders past, present and emerging and acknowledge the important role Aboriginal Peoples and Torres Strait Islanders continue to play within the Queensland community.
